This is the highlight video of Kate and Jordan’s Punta Venado Beach Club Wedding in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. It was the perfect winter getaway for their friends and family, many of whom live in eastern Washington. You know how sometimes you meet people that make you want to be a better partner and friend? This was one of those times.
When I asked Kate if she and Jordan wrote personal vows, she said they didn’t because they’re so busy with work.
I was honestly a bit bummed to hear that because vows are such a great way to learn about the couple. And weaving vows into the wedding film almost always gives it more depth and a lot of personalization. Vows reveal a lot about each person’s personality, values, and beliefs. They give us insights about their commitments to the other. Personal vows are like a window into what makes the couple’s relationship unique. I also love hearing what they have to say about their hopes and dreams for their future together. Well, it turns out that Kate and Jordan didn’t have to say a word for me to get to know what they’re all about as individuals and as partners to each other.
Their wedding highlight film includes the best parts from speeches and toasts given by their friend and officiant, Kate’s dad, as well as the Maid of Honor and Best Man.
If I would have included all of the great things they had to say about the kind of people Kate and Jordan are, I would have had a video nearly 40 minutes long!
